Today, I want to share with you a bit about our skincare routine using BeautyMate products.
When you first enter the world of skincare, it’s common to feel a bit confused about the order of steps, techniques, and how long to leave products on your skin.
There are numerous skincare routines out there, and the choice ultimately depends on your preferences, skin needs, time availability, and whether you prefer a simple or more comprehensive routine. In this post, I’ll guide you through a basic skincare routine that is both quick and effective.
Many people believe that skincare should only be done in the evening, but it’s equally important to care for your skin in the morning to prepare and protect it throughout the day. The only difference is that you may need to modify a few steps depending on the time of day.
First things first.
Regardless of whether it’s morning or evening, cleansing your face and neck is essential. Cleansing not only removes impurities but also allows the products you use afterward to be better absorbed by your skin. The choice of cleanser depends on your skin type, and there are many options available, such as milks, foams, micellar water, balms, dual-phase cleansers, soaps with various ingredients, gels, or syndet foams.
A well-known and effective technique is double cleansing, where two different products are used, one after the other, to remove every trace of makeup and impurities. For example, in the first step, you can start by removing your makeup with a balm using your fingers (always make sure to wash your hands before starting your skincare routine) and gently massaging it in circular motions. Then, dampen your face with water, which will cause your makeup to dissolve, and finally, rinse your face thoroughly.
When the balm comes into contact with water, it creates an emulsion effect, allowing your makeup to “melt away,” even if the products are waterproof. It’s important to use your ring and middle fingers when using your hands to apply the product, as they exert the least amount of pressure on your face. If you’re using micellar water, always rinse it off with water, even if the product claims it’s not necessary, as it functions as a type of soap and residue of surfactants may remain, causing dryness.
In the second step, you need to use a facial cleanser to remove any remaining traces of makeup. You can use a gel or syndet foam cleanser with a damp face and again, massage it in circular motions with your hands, then rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a microfiber towel.
Next comes hydration, and this is where one of our star products makes its grand entrance: the Collagen & Elastin Hydrating Serum. It’s a must-have in any skincare routine. Use two or three drops in your hands (never let the dispenser or dropper touch your face or any other surface to avoid contact with other substances or particles that may contaminate the product) and gently spread it all over your face and neck.
This amount will provide your skin with the hydration and moisture it needs. Allow the product to be naturally absorbed by your skin. Our serum, being a dry-touch formula, absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky, greasy, or heavy feeling on your face.
Moreover, its velvety finish allows your makeup to look better, while its matte effect prevents unwanted shine throughout the day. And of course, its ingredients, such as elastin, witch hazel extract, seaweed extract, and collagen, are the perfect combination to nourish, protect, and hydrate your skin.
With a clean and hydrated face, it’s time for the DermoProtector, a step that is incredibly important because it provides your skin with protection against all types of light, whether natural or artificial. However, it should only be applied in the morning, and reapplication every two to three hours is necessary. You can skip this step in the evening.
Two or three puffs of our DermoProtector SPF 50+ are enough to cover your face and neck. Use your ring and middle fingers to gently tap and distribute the product, similar to using a beauty blender or applying powder. Avoid dragging your fingers while spreading the product, but instead, lightly tap it all over your face, neck, and décolletage. This application technique also stimulates blood circulation, allowing your skin to absorb and make better use of the ingredients in your facial products.

Allow your skin to fully and naturally absorb the product, and you’re done! You’ve completed a quick and simple skincare routine. If you wish, you can proceed with your usual makeup application. Don’t forget to reapply your DermoProtector every two hours!
